Paul Lewis joins The Stoller Hall Opening Weekend

Standing in our newly-completed concert hall, it’s exciting to imagine that exactly six months from today, The Stoller Hall will be filled with an audience. In fact, you could be forgiven for thinking that an audience will walk through the doors at any second, but there is still a lot to do until we can finally welcome them in.

The Box Office needs to be kitted out, ready to be the perfect destination for our audiences to collect their tickets. Our bar and kitchen is currently being installed, where they will be able to have a drink or two (or three!) in the beautiful Oglesby Atrium. Also, there is acoustic testing to be done, to ensure that all of our performances are pitch-perfect.

On top of all that there is the Opening Weekend to organise and, rest assured, it is shaping up to be an incredible weekend of music, performance, and lasting memories. For those that haven’t heard already, our brilliant line-up currently features Sir Mark Elder, Gwilym Simcock, and the Navarra String Quartet. All extremely talented musicians and composers from all corners of the music world, perfectly representing what audiences can expect from The Stoller Hall when it opens in April 2017.

Now, in celebration of our six month countdown, we can exclusively reveal the next performer to join the list. Renowned pianist Paul Lewis CBE will be in the Hall to give an unforgettable performance. As a Chetham’s School of Music alumnus, this will be a homecoming that you won’t want to miss. Don’t forget, full details of our Opening Weekend will be announced in January, when tickets will also go on-sale. For now, however – much like Lewis himself – patience is a virtuoso.
