The Stoller Hall presents its biggest ever Christmas programme

This Christmas, take your seats for something special….

Our festive programme promises to be one to remember, with everything from classical music and carols to festive family theatre and craft fairs.

The season starts on Friday 3 December as we travel back through the ages to get a rare glimpse of Manchester’s medieval gem, Baronial Hall and listen to classical music from days gone by with Gothic Voices – rounding off the 600 years of Chetham’s anniversary celebrations.

Plus enjoy an evening of entertainment from the incredible musicians from Chetham’s School of Music with their Chet’s-mas festive concert.

From Saturday 11 – Monday 13 December audiences are invited in to shelter from the cold and enjoy a festive weekend of entertainment. Salford Choral Society will perform Handel’s much-loved masterpiece Messiah, followed on Sunday by the classic family fairytale Jack and the Beanstalk at 11am and 2pm. In the evening why not get together with friends and family for a Christmas concert to remember, with the The Apex Singers set to entertain with their wonderful a cappella music. Throughout the weekend our Atrium will be filled with the smell of mince pies and mulled wine and there’ll be a chance to pick up some unique Christmas gifts at our Artisan Markets.

As the winter nights draw in, The Furrow Collective have chosen a special festive programme to celebrate the dark time of year. Come in, friends, from the howling wind and bitter frost, draw a little closer to the roaring fire and prepare to be bewitched by eerie story-songs and seasonal carols.

The Christmas magic continues with a big band extravaganza from the Syd Lawrence Orchestra on Saturday 18 December.

For weary Christmas shoppers in need of calm and peace, young Chetham’s musicians, aged 8-18, perform free lunchtime concerts at The Stoller Hall, at 1.30pm every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday during term time. Schedules can vary, so audiences are advised to check concert listings and programmes here.

We’re looking forward to welcoming you back to The Stoller Hall and have a range of safety measures in place. You can explore our See it Safely measures here.
