Peter Donohoe was one of the first forty music students to join Chetham’s in 1969. Since his time at the School, he has built an extraordinary world-wide career, encompassing a huge repertoire. He is acclaimed as one of the foremost pianists of his time for his musicianship, stylistic versatility and commanding technique.
Peter returns to Chetham’s to continue the Striking Gold series, opening with the very first work in Robert Schumann’s extensive library and concluding with Modest Mussorgsky’s masterful Pictures at an Exhibition, a pianistic tour of the diverse and colourful works hung in a St Petersburg gallery.
