An hour-long concert featuring two of the most outstanding works of the early 20th century. Ravel’s jazz-infused Piano Concerto features soloist Rose McLachlan, 16, performing as a concerto soloist alongside an orchestra of her peers.
The concert continues with the 1919 suite from Stravinsky’s much-loved ballet fairytale, The Firebird, transporting audiences to a magical Russian winter, and a garden frozen beneath Kashchei’s wicked spells.
