Ted Robbins – best known for his appearances on Phoenix Nights and Little Britain – joins Chetham’s acclaimed Big Band for an evening of laughter and music to celebrate the opening of The Stoller Hall. Ted steps into the shoes of ol’ blue eyes himself, Frank Sinatra, with a selection of his best loved songs alongside stand up comedy and lively jazz.
The Lancashire-based comedian, also recognisable as Coronation Street’s Brendan Finch, is already excited about being part of The Stoller Hall’s story. “Coming from a musical family it has always been a great relief to them that I became a comedian. Despite this, I have always loved music in all its forms and have long admired and enjoyed the talent that is nurtured at Chetham’s School of Music. To get to perform with their Big Band in this fabulous new concert hall, as well as having a few laughs on the night, is a dream come true.”
With free live music in the Atrium from 5.30pm, make it a Saturday night to remember with jazz, jokes and a jar or two to toast Manchester’s newest stage.
