Suitable for Year 11 upwards who are interested in pursuing music post 16.

FREE sessions online.

All sessions up to 60 minutes

11am – 12pm: Start the day with Sarah Oliver as she discusses baroque style and context and introduces you to the baroque orchestra.

12pm – 1pm: Join John LeGrove and Manchester Baroque as they look at the performance practice and sounds of baroque period instruments, including the role of the continuo.

1.30pm – 2.30pm: Pauline Nobes from Manchester Baroque performs Bach’s Violin Concerto in A minor, BWV 1041 as Dr Sarah Murphy analyses and guides the audience through this A-level set work (AQA).

All attendees are entitled to free tickets to Manchester Baroque’s ‘Baroque Reborn’ Concert on Saturday 8th May.
