Between Thursday 8 – Saturday 17 August, Chetham’s International Piano Summer School brings world class and legendary musicians to a vibrant, supportive community in central Manchester. Alongside lectures, open lessons and opportunities to develop new skills, you can discover a daily programme of recitals from world-class performers.
On this final day of the event, we host our last Young Artist’s recital at 1.45pm. Noriko Ogawa brings a UK premiere and more to the Stoller Hall stage at 7pm, while Joanna MacGregor finishes the day at 8.30pm with her own arrangements of works by Nina Simone.
Seating for these events will be unallocated. If you have any access requirements, please do let us know at boxoffice@stollerhall.com or on 0333 130 0967 (lines open Tuesday – Thursday 1.30pm – 4pm). You can find out more about access in our building here. Our venue will be open half an hour before each public performance and will close in between performances.

Born in Nanjing, China in 2007, Yutian Yang began piano studies at the age of four and a half. In 2016, she began to study with Professor William Chen (ARAM), Head of the piano department at The Music Middle School affiliated to Shanghai Conservatory of Music. Yutian was the piano Gold Medalist at The XITH International Tchaikovsky Competition for Young Musicians in 2023. At age 17, she is already an experienced concert performer with a fiery stage presence yet delicate musical sensitivity. In China, she performed with the Shanghai Philharmonic and Shanghai Philharmonic Association Orchestras. She also collaborated with world renowned cellist Jian Wang in a performance of the Brahms Piano Trio.
