From the moment Mr Dickens steps on stage and utters “Marley is dead” you will be hooked, as this unique performance by the great great grandson of Charles Dickens bring this tale to life like no other. No other show in the world has a direct descendant of Charles Dickens taking the lead.
This is an enactment NOT a reading. Mr Dickens brings each and every character to live in his performance.
The Baronial Hall lends itself perfectly for a very special evening with Mr Dickens. This dark and moody candlelit room is the perfect setting for A Christmas Carol , the most loved Christmas tale of all time.
Your evening will begin with a glass of mulled wine and a mince pie and the chance to meet with Mr Dickens in person. The meet and greet will take place before the show starts, so we recommend arriving from 6.30pm.
Please note, the entrance for Baronial Hall will be at Chetham’s School of Music, Long Millgate, Manchester M3 1SB. You can find directions here. If you have physical tickets to collect, our events staff will have these ready for you.
