Between Wednesday 13 – Saturday 23 August, Chetham’s International Piano Summer School brings world class and legendary musicians to a vibrant, supportive community in central Manchester. Alongside lectures, open lessons and opportunities to develop new skills, you can discover a daily programme of recitals from world-class performers.

Seating for these events will be unallocated. If you have any access requirements, please do let us know at boxoffice@stollerhall.com or on 0333 130 0967 (lines open Tuesday – Thursday 1.30pm – 4pm). You can find out more about access in our building here. Our venue will be open half an hour before each public performance and will close in between performances.

Day Three

A Young Artists Recital: Chetham’s School of Music Students, 1.45pm – 2.30pm

We are delighted to present a series of daily lunchtime recitals in the glorious Stoller Hall given by outstanding young pianists. Today we welcome pianists who are currently studying at Chetham’s.

A wonderful opportunity to hear from many of the faculty in an informal ‘conversation’. There will be lots of time for participants and public to ask questions.

Simon Callaghan, Chetham’s alumnus, performs internationally as a soloist and chamber musician, in parallel with a highly successful career as a recording artist. Recital partners have included Sheku Kanneh-Mason, Nicholas Daniel, Prunella Scales and Timothy West.

Simon Callaghan’s distinguished and eclectic discography includes recordings for Hyperion, Nimbus and Lyrita.

Winner of the 2024 Leeds International Piano Competition and recipient of the Dame Fanny Waterman Gold Medal, Canadian pianist Jaeden Izik-Dzurko has been celebrated by audiences, critics and composers alike for his communicative power, refined technical command and artistic maturity. A few months before his triumph in Leeds, Jaeden became the first Canadian Grand Prize Laureate in an instrumental edition of the Concours musical international de Montréal in May 2024.

We are thrilled to welcome Jaeden for his Stoller Hall debut.
