We work closely with schools and teachers to create inspirational music projects and opportunities for students.
Schools concerts at Stoller Hall, in the centre of Manchester, are a great way to introduce children in KS2 to the orchestra through fun musical stories. Performed by students from Chetham’s School of Music, these concerts feature a large orchestra, a conductor and narrator to bring the music to life! Each performance lasts approximately 1 hour and take place in the Stoller Hall. You can see upcoming Schools concerts here.
Our KS2 online workshops are accessible to schools across the UK from the comfort of your classroom. Designed for whole class engagement, these free workshops are delivered by our amazing Creative Artists who are experienced teachers and musicians, and also feature students from Chetham’s School of Music. Workshops are interactive, and include opportunities for llistening, singing, composing, interactive learning and movement.
We also offer tours of our award-winning concert venue Stoller Hall upon request. Tours are most suitable for KS3-5 and include access to our performance spaces and backstage, Q&A with Chetham’s students and staff, and live music performances. Please note that dates are limited due to the nature of our busy building.
We are also delighted to have partnered with academy trusts, music hubs and music education trusts to deliver special projects for students and communities, and facilitate concert visits to schools around the North West.
