Family Festival at Stoller Hall

Join us this May for our first ever Family Festival – a two-day celebration of music and arts for families of all ages! Held right across our Stoller Hall building, you’ll be able to enjoy live music and storytelling, plus arts and crafts and much more.
We have ticketed events right through the weekend, including Stoller Story Sounds, a musical storytelling session with our newest adventuring character Robot (for ages 3-5), Music in the Round’s brand new storytelling concert The Storm Whale and Sounds Together, a special multi-sensory musical journey.

Saturday 23 May – SEND DAY
The first day of the festival will feature concerts and experiences which are more accessible and sensory-friendly. Suited to families with young people who may have sensory needs, learning disabilities, communication challenges, or physical disabilities.
We’ve created guides to help to explain the full day of events, as well as the individual ticketed shows.
Ticket bookers for Sounds Together (10am, 1pm) or The Storm Whale (11.30am) can also enjoy these free drop-in events around our building.
SEND Music Cafe With Manchester Camerata
The Atrium, drop in between 12.30pm and 2pm.
Music making sessions using music therapy-based techniques to help families communicate and express themselves. Come along to make music, have fun, and learn how music can bring your family together.
The Zen-Den, Provided by Rochdale Town Hall
Ensemble Rooms, drop in between 9am and 2:30pm.
Get creative with Mitch and build your very own safe space. Filled with sensory lights and calming toys, the Zen Den is our quiet place for busy minds.
Arts and Crafts Creativity Station
Ensemble Rooms, drop in between 9am and 2:30pm.
Let your creativity run wild through self-guided creative and craft activities for all.

Musical Playground With Chetham’s School of Music

Join Chetham’s School of Music for a fun musical exploration encouraging you to get up close and try a wide variety of instruments.
