Masterclass (included in lunchtime concert tickets) – 2.30pm

Following his lunchtime concert at Stoller Hall, Chris will lead a public masterclass with students from Chetham’s School of Music’s Trombone department. They will be coached on the subtlety of playing within a trombone section focussing on selected operatic extracts. Students will also look at playing the trombone in a pit band. Lastly, Chris will listen to a selection of pieces prepared by the students focussing on musical intention and technique.
