An immersive glow in the dark solo classical harp concert with Helena Ricci.
Based on the themes of love, loss, solitude and transformation, anima feels like a musical embrace. It is an inward journey from J.S. Bach to Philip Glass presented on the harp with Helena Ricci’s authenticity and charismatic stage presence. This unique immersive classical harp concert features stunning colour and LED lighting. You will be invited to take part with your own phone light. Because everyone can be a light in the dark. Meditative. Multisensory. Mesmeric.
ABOUT HELENA RICCI
Creatively forging her path as a visionary classical musician, Helena Ricci is a harpist praised for her “innovative and multifaceted musical language, having already made huge strides into her own creative world” (Sioned Williams, Principal Harpist, BBC Symphony Orchestra, 1990-2018). Helena Ricci is a City Music Foundation and Stoller Hall Emerging Artist and former Hattori Foundation Senior Awardee – the first harpist ever to win these three awards combined.
Recent solo highlights include concerts at St Martin-in-the-Fields, the Royal Opera House, for the LSO Discovery series, being a chamber soloist at the Wigmore Hall and playing for The King. She took part in the Encuentro de Santander, Britten-Pears Young Artist, MDW Tuning In! and Guildhall Creative Entrepreneurs programmes. Ricci is a Master alumna of the Guildhall School of Music & Drama where studied with Imogen Barford and graduated with the highest honours.
Through her MUS!LUX project merging classical music with technology and art, she is working on creating mesmeric immersive concert experiences. Based on the themes of love, loss, transformation and feeling like a musical embrace, her debut solo album anima recorded at The Stoller Hall will be released this year. A talented videographer, her film for Brian & Roger Eno’s “Cerulean Blue” was selected as its official video and released on the Deutsche Grammophon Youtube channel.
