The inaugural BBC Young Jazz Musician competition was won by Chetham’s saxophonist Alexander Bone, and today’s crop of young performers are following in these illustrious footsteps, while the Chetham’s Middle School Orchestra features many of the most exciting teenage performers in the UK.
