“Ella is an outstanding young jazz musician… committed and innovative improviser” — Nick Smart (Head of Jazz, Royal Academy of Music)

Ella Hohnen-Ford is carving out her place in the UK’s vibrant improvised-music scene.

Equally at home as a composer, lyricist and performer, Ella appears in a wide variety of musical projects: from folk and free music, to traditional jazz and singer-songwriter as a bandleader and side-woman.

Her group, TreeClimbers, is an ensemble born out of friendship and a love of songs. Featuring vibraphonist Jonny Mansfield, double bassist Will Sach, guitarist Tom Ollendorf, drummer Boz Martin-Jones, and vocalist Ella Hohnen-Ford, the collective draws on influences from Joni Mitchell to Bjork, creating a bespoke and empathic sound to frame Ella’s self-penned songs.

Please note: Due to social distancing the number of available seats has been greatly reduced from the usual capacity, so you are advised to book as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
