The Aurora Percussion Duo was founded by Delia Stevens and Le Yu in 2010. Since then, the duo have made it their mission to redefine the art of percussion. Described as ‘superb’ by the Financial Times and ‘extraordinary’ by Classical Source, this award-winning duo produce adrenaline fuelled concert performances that are visually spectacular, physically demanding and presented with unprecedented virtuosity.
Following two sell-out tours of China and performances at some of the largest and most prestigious concert halls in the UK, Aurora return to their home city of Manchester to perform a diverse array of music from across the globe in this tour de force of percussion repertoire.

“Delia Stevens and Le Yu are extraordinary performers. The intimate and sinuous flow of leadership between the two of them was a joy to watch.” – Peter Reed, Classical Source

“You will go a very long way before you find an ensemble like this one.” – Bryan Fox, Promoter

“The Aurora Duo was terrific, zooming in on the wildly differing characters of each piece with an immensely attractive sense of engagement, both with the music and with the audience.” – Peter Reed, Classical Source

“Percussion groups always have the unfair advantage of their eye-catching array of bizarre instruments. But this duo transcended that and showed real musicality.” – Ivan Hewett, Daily Telegraph
