Claudius Tanski joins the faculty at Chetham’s Piano Summer School for the first time this year. Claudius was born in Essen, Germany, studying in Essen, Salzburg, Vienna and London, where Alfred Brendel was his most important teacher for several years. He is currently a professor at the University Mozarteum in Salzburg and his recital features some of the most imaginative and powerful music ever contributed to the sonata genre.
