‘One of the most memorable of such occasions London has witnessed for a while’ – The Telegraph
Pianist Pavel Kolesnikov is celebrated for his imaginative, thought-provoking programming which offers a fresh perspective on familiar pieces. As a recording artist for Hyperion, his repertoire ranges from rarely heard harpsichord pieces by Louis Couperin to Tchaikovsky’s The Seasons.
After recording his sixth album, Bach’s Goldberg Variations, Pavel collaborated with legendary Belgian dancer Anne Teresa de Keersmaeker on a new, choreographic work based on the Goldberg Variations. This performance has toured globally, earning them a prime-time solo piano slot on the early evening Proms.
Ahead of his live performance in The Stoller Hall, Pavel will give a music masterclass to students from Chetham’s School of Music.
