Chetham’s School of Music is pleased to announce a free, one-day event for young woodwind players, aged 11-18.
Young players – from grade 3 standard to diploma level – are invited to join the friendly, specialist tutors at Chetham’s School of Music, to work with Chetham’s students and alumni in a day full of music making, discussion and performance.
Chetham’s Woodwind Academy will feature special guests including Timothy Orpen (Principal Clarinet of the Royal Scottish National Orchestra), Imogen Davies (Oboe, Philharmonia Orchestra), Fiona Fulton (one of the UK’s leading flautists and Chetham’s tutor) and more to be announced soon.
From 10am – 4pm, the packed day will include classes for each instrument including top tips on solo repertoire, technique, chamber music and massed woodwind choirs.
Entry is free but places will be limited so please sign up to avoid disappointment.
