Chetham’s School of Music is pleased to announce a free, one-day event for young woodwind players, aged 9 – 17.
Come and join us for a full day of masterclasses, ensemble playing, and lively group discussions, led by a friendly, specialist team of Chetham’s tutors, students, and professional musical guests.
Led by the Head of Woodwind at Chetham’s School of Music, Belinda Gough will also be joined by some of the most exciting woodwind players working in classical music today.
Main applications are now closed. However, if you play the Bassoon or the Oboe and would be interested in taking part, please email erinbathgate@chethams.com to be considered for participation in the Woodwind Academy Day.
From 10am – 4pm, the packed day will include classes for each instrument including top tips on solo repertoire, technique, chamber music and the chance to play in massed woodwind choirs.
Suitable for players of the following instruments: Flute, Oboe, Clarinet, Bassoon, Saxophone.
