A Main Event in the first Manchester Vocal Weekend
Join Marcus Farnsworth and singers from Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM) to join in ‘arguably Haydn’s greatest single composition’, his Missa in Angustiis or Mass for Troubled Times.
Written during the turbulent Napoleonic era, its elaborate harmonies follow closely after The Creation, premièred earlier the same year in 1798.
Rehearse with Marcus from 10am-1pm, followed by a lunch break and informal performance at 2pm which will be open to members of the public free of charge.
