Waterstones, Deansgate are proud to present folk-rock icon and Sunday Times bestselling author Frank Turner, in celebration of his new memoir, Try This At Home: Adventures in Songwriting.

Taking 36 songs from his back catalogue, this new, layered work explores the song-writing process, revealing the stories behind the songs forged in the hedonistic years of the mid-2000s North London scene, the ones perfected in Nashville studios, and everything in between.

Featuring exclusive photos of handwritten lyrics, true insight and raw sentiment, this avid exploration reflects with eloquence and wit on exactly what it is to be a songwriter.

The event will consist of a Q&A, in conversation with Ian Winwood, author of Smash!: Green Day, The Offspring, Bad Religion, NOFX and the ’90s Punk Explosion, followed by a book reading. Frank will also play a few of his popular songs.

Doors will open at 7pm for a 7:30pm start.
Prices are inclusive of a pre-signed copy of Try This at Home and booking fees
