Ever wanted to taste colour? Or feel a smell? Or see music?

This chromesthesia concert is for you. Based on the very real medical phenomenon of sensory wires in the brain getting muddled, you’ll experience how technology can render this phenomenon in real time with a string quartet. The magical machinery analyses audio input, transforming it into coloured light, meaning the string quartet’s music will emerge as a breathtaking visual display right before your eyes.

Designed for adults and families aged 12+

FREE EVENT – booking required
Unallocated seating

A message from Manchester Science Festival:
Entry is on a first come, first served basis, and is not guaranteed. People often overbook free tickets, so we issue more tickets than there are seats available to allow for this. We consider the numbers carefully, and it’s rare that we’ll disappoint you. It’s best to arrive early, just to be on the safe side.
